Rex Emery Pearson, 80, passed away May 13,2019 at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield, IN. Born April 19, 1939 in Green County, Indiana to Julius and Nancy Pearson. He enjoyed drag racing in his younger years, winning many trophies. He worked at Link Belt for 35 years. He was a wonderful, kind, Christian man that was very active in the Chapel West Seventh-Day-Adventist Church. He loved singing and playing the guitar, whether it was on the front porch with family and friends, at church or with various bands. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 4 “girls”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and sisters, a grandson Brandon, and 2nd wife Mary Pearson. Survived by his daughters, Kim (Doug) Casey, Teresa Britton, Terri Pearson, and Tammy Pearson, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Also by sisters Martha Bechtel, Gaynell Blottie, and brother Richard Pearson.
Rex’s family would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Cumberland Trace Cherished Memories unit for taking such great care of Rex for the last couple years.
Services will be held at the Chapel West Seventh-Day-Adventist Church on Friday, May 17th. Public visitation will be from 1:30-3:30 with the funeral service following at 3:30-4:30. 3819 S. Mann Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46221.
